Friday Favorites: A Cecil the Lion, Confederate Flag, and Planned Parenthood-Free Zone

Here it is: The best stuff I found this week on the internet. Don't worry, there's nothing about Confederate flags, Planned Parenthood, or Cecil the Lion. I hear your collective sigh of relief, and you are welcome.

Grown Man Who Was Formula Fed Wants To Know Why. It's called satire, people. It's funny. We all need to lighten up just a bit. I'm a firm believer in "breast is best", but I'm also a firm believer that most things we make a huge dramatic super big deal over... well, those things probably aren't as important in the long run as we thought back in the beginning.

Ronda Rousey "A Do Nothing Bitch". I love Ronda Rousey. Sorry about the language (not really). Ronda is back in the spotlight after her 34 second win over Bethe Correia. As if I needed any more reasons to love her, this short video proves she's a badass and puts body-shamers in their proper place. Did I mention that I love Ronda Rousey?

A Dad Reflects on Raising Rebels With A Cause. "Dad on the Run" explains why well-behaved children aren't the ultimate parenting goal. Maybe the most important thing isn't that our children listen to us, but that they learn to think for themselves.

An Open Letter to a Maxi Pad Company. Wendi Aarons pens a truthfully blunt letter to the MALE brand manager of Proctor & Gamble with a few words of advice about marketing to women on their periods. For those of us who have to "jack ourselves up on Motrin and Kahlua" once a month just so we don't "march into Walgreen's with a hunting rifle and a sketchy plan" this article is painfully relatable. It will either have you doubled over in cramping pain or hysterical laughter... depending on what time of the month it is.
